The 1st Macao International Children’s Arts Festival will be held from July to August 2024

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao S.A.R. Government, the 1^st Macao International Children’s Arts Festival will be held from July to August 2024. Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau with the support of various organizations, the Festival will feature a diverse range of activities, including performances, a Broadway musical, art exhibitions, film screenings, large-scale outdoor installations, art camps, master classes, workshops, an arts carnival and more. This festival endeavours to create a vibrant and interactive environment where children can explore the world of art, while families enjoy a delightful and artistic summer together.

During the inaugural edition of the Festival, Macao will be transformed into a fertile ground for children’s art. This innovative event will catalyse Macao's evolution into a dynamic arts and cultural hub. Featuring nine major sections, the Festival comprises 45 programmes with over 1,000 performances and activities presented by renowned art troupes from around the world and Macao. Families and children will have the opportunity to appreciate art up close from multiple perspectives, engaging all senses. This occasion presents an invaluable opportunity to ignite children’s passion for the arts, expose them to diverse cultures, cultivate their aesthetic vision and creative thinking, and imbue their lives with happiness, kindness, and love through the transformative power of art.
